A pharmacy technician cover letter, and the strong line the engine never saw
One pharmacy technician cover letter, printed exactly as the builder wrote it. The technician and the hospital are invented. The selection, the gap and one dropped line came out of the product.
— no discrepancy in two years is the sentence they will ask about.

Pharmacy is a trade where accuracy is the product, so the letter has to be about accuracy rather than about enthusiasm for healthcare. Halvard Mbeki-Rooth is invented, Strathorne Hospital is invented, and so are both of his employers. The letter is real output: the evidence below was handed to the cover letter builder and the reply is printed word for word.
The post, and the evidence the letter may use
An invented person. Not a real document, and not yours.
The role
Pharmacy Technician · Strathorne Hospital
The posting
Strathorne Hospital is recruiting a pharmacy technician for its dispensary and ward service. The post covers dispensing, medication administration checks, inventory management of stock and controlled drugs, and patient education at discharge. Accuracy checking accreditation is desirable.
What the letter may claim
- Dispensed and checked 420 items a day against medication administration records.
- Rebuilt inventory management for 1 900 lines and cut expired stock write-offs by 61%.
- Reduced dispensing errors on the ward service from 9 a month to 2.
- Managed the controlled drugs register across 6 wards with no discrepancy in 2 years.
- Trained 7 assistants on stock rotation and the near-miss log.

The letter the builder wrote
Direct voice, the one the door opens with. Three of the eight paragraphs are Halvard's own sentences.
Dear Strathorne Hospital Hiring Team,
I'm applying for the Pharmacy Technician role at Strathorne Hospital.
Rebuilt inventory management for 1 900 lines and cut expired stock write-offs by 61%.
Reduced dispensing errors on the ward service from 9 a month to 2.
Managed the controlled drugs register across 6 wards with no discrepancy in 2 years.
The posting asks for Inventory Management and Medication Administration — all of which I've worked with directly.
I'd welcome the chance to talk through any of this.
Halvard Mbeki-Rooth
Where each paragraph came from, and one that never got there
Lines 6, 7 and 8 of the evidence list. The stock line matched inventory management, the error line matched the dispensing requirement, and the controlled drugs line was selected on its figure. Three requirements were recognised in the advertisement and the letter answered two of them by name.
Line 5 is the interesting one. "Dispensed and checked 420 items a day against medication administration records" is arguably his strongest sentence, and it was never considered. The engine only treats a line as evidence when it carries one of the achievement verbs it holds, and dispensed is not on that list. A line that starts with a verb the filter does not know is invisible to it, whatever it says afterwards. Rewriting it as "Checked 420 items a day" would put it back in the ranking.
What it refused to claim
One gap: patient education. The posting asks for counselling at discharge and nothing in the evidence describes speaking to a patient, so the letter is silent on it. That is a fair gap rather than a missed keyword, and the honest answer is a true line about discharge counselling. The gaps list is the interview covers what to do with one like this.
No language model is involved. The ranking is deterministic code over his own lines, and the reply says so in its own payload.
What a pharmacy letter has to prove
Throughput, accuracy and custody. Throughput is the items a day and the wards covered. Accuracy is the error rate and the direction it moved. Custody is the controlled drugs register with no discrepancy in two years, which is the line a chief pharmacist will stop at.
Second, write each of those starting with a plain past-tense verb. It reads better to a person and, on the evidence of line 5 above, it is the difference between being ranked and being skipped. Action verbs on a document lists the ones that work.
The same evidence in the other two voices
Three voices ship with the builder, and changing one rewrites the connectors rather than the evidence. The ranking never sees the voice, so the same lines are selected in the same order in all three. Run on this page's own evidence, the warm voice opens "I'd like to be considered for the Pharmacy Technician role at Strathorne Hospital." and closes "I'd be glad to walk through any of this with you." The formal voice opens "I am writing to apply for the position of Pharmacy Technician at Strathorne Hospital." and closes "I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application further." The middle connector changes with it: warm writes "You mention Inventory Management and Medication Administration; those have been the centre of my recent work." and formal writes "The role calls for Inventory Management and Medication Administration, each of which I have applied in practice." In the product, switching voice keeps the draft you already have as a version before it writes the new one, so nothing is lost by trying the other two.
The design, and what the door does
Correspondence sets sender and recipient in a grid, which suits a hospital application pack. The paper changes and the words do not, across all 12 designs in the gallery.
The door below opens 02 · Details with the role, the hospital, the posting and the four evidence groups loaded and removable. Nothing is composed until you press Write the letter. Put your own throughput and error rates in, paste the real advertisement, and the same ranking runs on your lines. The matching pharmacy technician résumé example holds the document those lines come from.

- Is Halvard Mbeki-Rooth a real person
- No. He is invented for this page, and so are Strathorne Hospital, Culloden Vale and Brackwell Pharmacy. No real dispensary is described and no hire is claimed.
- Did the product really write this letter
- Yes. The evidence list was posted to the same endpoint the Write the letter button posts to, and the reply is printed above unchanged. The engine reported three selected paragraphs, two matched requirements and one gap.
- Why did the line about 420 items a day not appear
- Because the engine only treats a sentence as evidence when it contains one of the achievement verbs it holds, and “dispensed” is not one of them. The line was never a candidate. Rewriting it to start with a verb the filter knows, such as “Checked” or “Handled”, puts it back in the running.
- What does “Use this example” do
- It opens the cover letter builder on 02 · Details with the role, the hospital, the posting and the four evidence groups already loaded. No letter and no application record exists until you press Write the letter.
- Why is patient education a gap
- The posting asks for patient education at discharge and nothing in the evidence mentions talking to patients at all. It is a fair thing to be asked about, and a true line about counselling at discharge closes it.
- Which design is this example in
- Correspondence, a sender and recipient grid, which suits a hospital application pack. Any of the 12 designs carries the same words.
Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
