A medical assistant cover letter where the posting and the evidence used the same words

One medical assistant cover letter, printed exactly as the builder wrote it. The assistant and the surgery are invented. The selection came out of the product, and the gaps list came back empty.

— seven per cent to two. bloods done twice is a patient's afternoon.

The Conxfolio cover letter builder on step 02 Details, opened by this page's own door, with the role Medical Assistant, the company Harnwell Family Practice, the posting and the four evidence groups loaded
The Details step exactly as the door left it: Medical Assistant at Harnwell Family Practice, the posting, and 17 evidence lines across profile, experience, achievements and skills, each one removable. No letter and no application record exists at this point.

Clinical support applications live or die on whether the practice manager believes you can carry a Monday. Yolanda Prescoe is invented, Harnwell Family Practice is invented, and so are both of her employers. The letter is real output: the evidence below was handed to the cover letter builder and the reply is printed word for word.

The post, and the evidence the letter may use

An invented person. Not a real document, and not yours.

The role
Medical Assistant · Harnwell Family Practice

The posting

  • Reduced blood draw repeat rates from 7% to 2% after retraining on tube order.
  • Managed clinical documentation in the electronic health records system for 240 visits a week.

The letter the builder wrote

Direct voice, the one the door opens with. Three of the eight paragraphs are Yolanda's own sentences.

Dear Harnwell Family Practice Hiring Team,

I'm applying for the Medical Assistant role at Harnwell Family Practice.

Managed clinical documentation in the electronic health records system for 240 visits a week.

Handled patient intake and vital signs for 54 patients a day across 6 clinicians.

Reduced blood draw repeat rates from 7% to 2% after retraining on tube order.

The posting asks for Electronic Health Records, Clinical Documentation and Vital Signs — all of which I've worked with directly.

I'd welcome the chance to talk through any of this.

Yolanda Prescoe

Where each paragraph came from

Lines 7, 5 and 6 of the evidence list. The documentation line scored highest of any line on these pages except one, because it matched two named requirements at once and carried a figure. The intake line matched a third. The blood draw line carried no match and went in on its numbers, which is the right result: it is the most persuasive sentence she has.

Three requirements were recognised in the whole posting and the letter answered all three by name. That is unusually clean, and it happened because the evidence uses clinical vocabulary rather than the language of a personal statement. Evidence tracing shows the same reasoning inside the product.

What it refused to claim, and why the list is empty

The gaps list came back with nothing on it, and that is worth reading carefully rather than celebrating. It means every requirement the matcher could see was evidenced. The posting also asks for insurance verification, which appears nowhere in Yolanda's lines, and it never became a gap because the matcher does not hold it as a skill. An empty gaps list says the machine found nothing missing, not that nothing is missing. The honest limits of every tool covers that distinction.

No language model is involved. Selection is deterministic code over her own lines, and the reply says so in its own payload. Read the posting yourself for anything the matcher cannot see.

What a clinical support letter has to prove

Throughput, accuracy and the notes. Throughput is patients a day and clinicians covered. Accuracy is the repeat rate on bloods, which is the difference between a competent phlebotomist and a patient who has to come back. The notes are the documentation volume, which is the part of the job that keeps a surgery legal.

What stays out is any detail about a patient. Every line above is a count or a rate. Clinical evidence on a document covers that boundary in more detail.

The same evidence in the other two voices

Three voices ship with the builder, and changing one rewrites the connectors rather than the evidence. The ranking never sees the voice, so the same lines are selected in the same order in all three. Run on this page's own evidence, the warm voice opens "I'd like to be considered for the Medical Assistant role at Harnwell Family Practice." and closes "I'd be glad to walk through any of this with you." The formal voice opens "I am writing to apply for the position of Medical Assistant at Harnwell Family Practice." and closes "I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application further." The middle connector changes with it: warm writes "You mention Electronic Health Records, Clinical Documentation and Vital Signs; those have been the centre of my recent work." and formal writes "The role calls for Electronic Health Records, Clinical Documentation and Vital Signs, each of which I have applied in practice." In the product, switching voice keeps the draft you already have as a version before it writes the new one, so nothing is lost by trying the other two.

The design, and what the door does

The same Details step on a 390 pixel phone screen, showing the role, the company and the posting loaded from the example
The same door on a phone. The role, the company and the posting arrive filled in, and the evidence groups sit below them.

Minimal is air and restraint, which reads well when the content is numeric. The paper changes and the words do not, across all 12 designs in the gallery.

The door below opens 02 · Details with the role, the practice, the posting and the four evidence groups loaded and removable. Nothing is composed until you press Write the letter. Put your own intake figures in, paste the real advertisement, and the same ranking runs on your lines. The matching medical assistant résumé example holds the document those lines come from.

Questions

Is Yolanda Prescoe a real person
No. She is invented for this page, and so are Harnwell Family Practice, Dunmoyle Surgery and Ferngate Health Centre. No real patient, clinician or practice is described, and no hire is claimed.
Did the product really write this letter
Yes. The evidence list was posted to the same endpoint the Write the letter button posts to, and the reply is printed above unchanged. The engine reported three selected paragraphs, three matched requirements and no gaps.
An empty gaps list sounds like a perfect match. Is it
No, and this is the page to read that on. It means every requirement the matcher recognised was evidenced. Insurance verification is asked for in the posting and the matcher does not hold it as a skill, so it never became a gap even though the evidence never mentions it.
What does “Use this example” do
It opens the cover letter builder on 02 · Details with the role, the practice, the posting and the four evidence groups already loaded. No letter and no application record exists until you press Write the letter.
Why does the letter use the posting's own phrases
Because the evidence does. Writing “vital signs” and “electronic health records” rather than paraphrases is what let two of these lines match by name. It is accurate rather than decorative, which is the only kind of keyword worth using.
Which design is this example in
Minimal, air and restraint. Any of the 12 designs carries the same words, and the gallery shows each one as a whole letter.

Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
