Where each paragraph came from
Lines 6, 7 and 5 of the evidence list. The tracker line matched Microsoft Excel and the survey line matched data entry, both named in the posting. The budget line went in on its figures. Five requirements were recognised in the advertisement and the letter answered two of them by name.
Notice what this letter does not contain: a sentence about being passionate about data, or about being a fast learner, or about the firm's reputation. There was nowhere for one to come from, because the engine only selects sentences that already exist in the evidence. On a first application that constraint is a gift. What it refused to claim
Three gaps: reporting, Python and social media marketing. The posting calls Python a bonus rather than a requirement, and none of the three appears in the evidence, so none is claimed. Three gaps on an internship is not a failure; it is the honest shape of a second-year application, and each one is a thing to learn or to answer plainly. Applying when you meet half the criteria is the piece to read next.
No language model is involved. Selection is deterministic code over the supplied lines, and the reply says so in its own payload.
What a first letter has to prove
That you have already been responsible for something countable. Money held, people accountable to, records kept, customers served. A society treasurer with a four thousand pound budget and a hundred and forty members has all four, and most students never write it down because it does not feel like work.
The till line matters too. Sixty customers a shift with cash reconciliation is evidence of accuracy under time pressure, which is what a twelve-week internship is really testing. Students and the empty document covers finding the rest of it.

Three voices ship with the builder, and changing one rewrites the connectors rather than the evidence. The ranking never sees the voice, so the same lines are selected in the same order in all three. The middle connector changes with it: warm writes "You mention Microsoft Excel and Data Entry; those have been the centre of my recent work." and formal writes "The role calls for Microsoft Excel and Data Entry, each of which I have applied in practice."
