I have worked as Data Analyst at Keldonbrook Insurance, 2021 — present. I have also worked as Junior Analyst at Marrowby Digital, 2019 — 2021. I rewrote the SQL behind the retention report and cut its run time from 40 minutes to 90 seconds. I also ran 18 A/B testing experiments on renewal offers and stopped 6 of them early on the evidence.

Mistakes that sink a data analyst cover letter

The first is a list of tools with no question answered. The second is describing dashboards without saying who used them. The third is claiming causation from a correlation.

Two gaps came back: dbt and Snowflake. The posting names both as the warehouse the team works on, nothing in Tomas's evidence mentions either, so the letter claims neither and says so in one plain sentence. He writes SQL every day and the engine still will not translate that into warehouse experience he has not evidenced. Reading your own gaps list turns two items like these into two honest sentences for the interview.
