A sales cover letter where every paragraph answers a named requirement
One field sales cover letter, printed exactly as the builder wrote it. The representative and the territory are invented. The selection and the gap came out of the product.
— a quota is a claim. a closed number is evidence.

Sales letters are the easiest to write badly, because enthusiasm is cheap and every applicant has some. This page shows the alternative. Casimir Odunlade is invented, Brindlewood Tools is invented, and so are both of his employers. The letter is real output: the evidence below was handed to the cover letter builder and the reply is printed word for word.
The territory, and the evidence the letter may use
An invented person. Not a real document, and not yours.
The role
Field Sales Representative · Brindlewood Tools
The posting
Brindlewood Tools is hiring a field sales representative for the northern territory. You will own pipeline management, cold outreach and contract negotiation with trade merchants, with upselling targets on the existing base. The team works in Salesforce and reports a weekly forecast.
What the letter may claim
- Grew territory revenue by 38% in two years, from 1.4 to 1.9 million euro.
- Built pipeline management for 120 open opportunities and closed 34 of them in a year.
- Led contract negotiation on 22 supply agreements worth 780 000 euro.
- Introduced cold outreach sequences that produced 60 qualified meetings a quarter.
- Delivered upselling of 19% on the existing base without a discount programme.

The letter the builder wrote
Direct voice, the one the door opens with. Three of the eight paragraphs are Casimir's own sentences.
Dear Brindlewood Tools Hiring Team,
I'm applying for the Field Sales Representative role at Brindlewood Tools.
Built pipeline management for 120 open opportunities and closed 34 of them in a year.
Led contract negotiation on 22 supply agreements worth 780 000 euro.
Introduced cold outreach sequences that produced 60 qualified meetings a quarter.
The posting asks for Pipeline Management, Contract Negotiation and Cold Outreach — all of which I've worked with directly.
I'd welcome the chance to talk through any of this.
Casimir Odunlade
Where each paragraph came from
Lines 6, 7 and 8 of the evidence list, in order. Each matched exactly one requirement the posting names and each carries a figure, so the three scored identically and the engine kept them in the order it found them. Five requirements were recognised in the posting and the letter answered three by name.
The revenue line at the top of his list, the one most people would lead with, did not make the letter. It answers a question the advertisement does not ask. That is the difference between a letter and a brag sheet, and it is the reason the same evidence produces a different letter for the next posting. Tailoring to the posting is this idea done by hand.
What it refused to claim
One gap: Salesforce. The posting says the team works in it and Casimir's evidence names HubSpot instead, so the letter says nothing about either system. The engine will not offer one CRM as a substitute for another, because that is a claim the reader would be entitled to check in the first five minutes of an interview. The gaps list is the interview.
No language model is involved. The ranking is deterministic code over his own lines, and the reply says so in its own payload.
What a sales letter has to prove
That the number came from you. Pipeline built, meetings created, agreements signed, base grown: each of those is a thing a person does, and each has a count. A quota percentage without a quota behind it is the weakest sentence in the genre, because it can be true at any size of territory.
The second thing is the motion. Cold outreach that produced sixty meetings a quarter describes a method a sales manager can copy, which is worth more than a year of attainment. Quantifying an achievement covers how to count the parts of a job that feel uncountable.
The same evidence in the other two voices
Three voices ship with the builder, and changing one rewrites the connectors rather than the evidence. The ranking never sees the voice, so the same lines are selected in the same order in all three. Run on this page's own evidence, the warm voice opens "I'd like to be considered for the Field Sales Representative role at Brindlewood Tools." and closes "I'd be glad to walk through any of this with you." The formal voice opens "I am writing to apply for the position of Field Sales Representative at Brindlewood Tools." and closes "I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application further." The middle connector changes with it: warm writes "You mention Pipeline Management, Contract Negotiation and Cold Outreach; those have been the centre of my recent work." and formal writes "The role calls for Pipeline Management, Contract Negotiation and Cold Outreach, each of which I have applied in practice." In the product, switching voice keeps the draft you already have as a version before it writes the new one, so nothing is lost by trying the other two.
The design, and what the door does
Signal carries a confident accent rail, which suits an application that will be read on a phone between visits. The paper changes and the words do not, across all 12 designs in the gallery.
The door below opens 02 · Details with the role, the company, the posting and the four evidence groups loaded and removable. Nothing is composed until you press Write the letter. Put your own territory in, paste the real posting, and the same ranking runs on your lines. The matching sales résumé example holds the document those lines come from.
Open it on the Details step
Loads Casimir's role, company, posting and evidence into the cover letter builder in the Signal design. Nothing is written until you press Write the letter. Free, no account.

- Is Casimir Odunlade a real person
- No. He is invented for this page, and so are Brindlewood Tools, Wendover Fixings and Calloway Trade. No real territory is described and no hire is claimed.
- Did the product really write this letter
- Yes. The evidence list was posted to the same endpoint the Write the letter button posts to, and the reply is printed above unchanged. The engine reported three selected paragraphs, three matched requirements and one gap.
- Why did the revenue growth line not make the letter
- Because the posting never asks about territory growth by name, and the three lines that did match a named requirement outscored it. It is still the strongest sentence he has, and dragging it back in on the Details step takes one click.
- What does “Use this example” do
- It opens the cover letter builder on 02 · Details with the role, the company, the posting and the four evidence groups already loaded. No letter and no application record exists until you press Write the letter.
- Should a sales letter include a target attainment figure
- Include it if you can defend the baseline. Percentage of quota means nothing without the quota, and a hiring manager who sells for a living will ask. Absolute numbers with a period attached travel better.
- Which design is this example in
- Signal, a confident accent rail down the page. Any of the 12 designs carries the same words.
Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
