A customer service cover letter built from call figures, not from warmth
One customer service cover letter, printed exactly as the builder wrote it. The advisor and the utility are invented. The selection and the gaps came out of the product.
— first contact resolution is the number they hire on.

Service applications are full of the same three adjectives, which is why a team leader stops reading them. This page shows what happens when the letter is selected from figures instead. Delphine Achterberg is invented, Riverkeep Utilities is invented, and so are both of her employers. The letter is real output: the evidence below was handed to the cover letter builder and the reply is printed word for word.
The post, and the evidence the letter may use
An invented person. Not a real document, and not yours.
The role
Customer Service Advisor · Riverkeep Utilities
The posting
Riverkeep Utilities is recruiting customer service advisors for its billing team. The work covers call handling, complaint resolution and order processing against published service level agreements, on a ticketing system with live chat. The team is moving onto Salesforce this year.
What the letter may claim
- Handled 68 calls a day with a complaint resolution rate of 91% at first contact.
- Reduced average call handling time from 7 minutes to 4 without losing the resolution rate.
- Trained 9 new advisors on the ticketing system and the escalation ladder.
- Managed order processing for 240 account changes a week during a billing migration.
- Introduced a one-page refund script that cut repeat calls on the same issue by a third.

The letter the builder wrote
Direct voice, the one the door opens with. Three of the eight paragraphs are Delphine's own sentences.
Dear Riverkeep Utilities Hiring Team,
I'm applying for the Customer Service Advisor role at Riverkeep Utilities.
Handled 68 calls a day with a complaint resolution rate of 91% at first contact.
Reduced average call handling time from 7 minutes to 4 without losing the resolution rate.
Managed order processing for 240 account changes a week during a billing migration.
The posting asks for Complaint Resolution, Call Handling and Order Processing — all of which I've worked with directly.
I'd welcome the chance to talk through any of this.
Delphine Achterberg
Where each paragraph came from
Lines 5, 6 and 8 of the evidence list, which is the plainest result on any of these pages: each of the three selected lines matched one named requirement and carried its own figure. Six requirements were recognised in the posting and the letter answered three of them by name.
The training line and the refund script line stayed out, and both are the kind of thing that gets someone promoted. Neither answers what this advertisement asks for. They are one click from the letter if the reader wants them, because the evidence list on the Details step is editable before anything is written.
What it refused to claim
Two gaps: service level agreements and Salesforce. The posting names both, and neither appears in the evidence, so the letter is silent on both. Delphine works to targets all day, and the word never appears in her lines, which is exactly the kind of thing a gaps list is for. Reading your own gaps list is the fastest way to find the true sentence you forgot to write down.
No language model is used anywhere in this. Selection is deterministic code over the supplied lines, and the reply carries that fact in its own payload.
What a service letter has to prove
Volume, resolution and recovery. Volume is the calls or tickets a day. Resolution is what share of them ended without a second contact. Recovery is what you did with the ones that went wrong, which is the refund script line here. A team leader can staff a rota from those three numbers and cannot staff anything from "passionate about helping people".
Second, the systems. Ticketing, live chat, whichever billing platform: name them as the posting names them. Shift work and retail evidence covers the same problem in a neighbouring trade.
The same evidence in the other two voices
Three voices ship with the builder, and changing one rewrites the connectors rather than the evidence. The ranking never sees the voice, so the same lines are selected in the same order in all three. Run on this page's own evidence, the warm voice opens "I'd like to be considered for the Customer Service Advisor role at Riverkeep Utilities." and closes "I'd be glad to walk through any of this with you." The formal voice opens "I am writing to apply for the position of Customer Service Advisor at Riverkeep Utilities." and closes "I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application further." The middle connector changes with it: warm writes "You mention Complaint Resolution, Call Handling and Order Processing; those have been the centre of my recent work." and formal writes "The role calls for Complaint Resolution, Call Handling and Order Processing, each of which I have applied in practice." In the product, switching voice keeps the draft you already have as a version before it writes the new one, so nothing is lost by trying the other two.
The design, and what the door does
Minimal is air and restraint, which reads well when the content is numeric. The paper changes and the words do not, across all 12 designs in the gallery.
The door below opens 02 · Details with the role, the company, the posting and the four evidence groups loaded and removable. Nothing is composed until you press Write the letter. Put your own call figures in, paste the real advertisement, and the same ranking runs on your lines. The matching customer service résumé example holds the document those lines come from.
Open it on the Details step
Loads Delphine's role, company, posting and evidence into the cover letter builder in the Minimal design. Nothing is written until you press Write the letter. Free, no account.

- Is Delphine Achterberg a real person
- No. She is invented for this page, and so are Riverkeep Utilities, Meldrum Energy and Parrowgate Water. No real advisor's application is published here and nothing claims a hire.
- Did the product really write this letter
- Yes. The evidence list was posted to the same endpoint the Write the letter button posts to, and the reply is printed above unchanged. The engine reported three selected paragraphs, three matched requirements and two gaps.
- Why is Salesforce a gap when the posting says the team is moving to it
- Because the posting names it and the evidence does not. The engine reads requirements rather than tenses. It is a useful gap to keep: the honest answer at interview is which system you do know, and how long the last migration took you.
- What does “Use this example” do
- It opens the cover letter builder on 02 · Details with the role, the company, the posting and the four evidence groups already loaded. No letter and no application record exists until you press Write the letter.
- Is it wrong to sound warm in a service letter
- Warmth is fine and it is not evidence. The letter above reads perfectly civil and every claim in it is a number a team leader can check. Put the warmth in the sentences you write yourself, in the field the product calls what only you know.
- Which design is this example in
- Minimal, air and restraint. Any of the 12 designs carries the same words, and the gallery shows each one as a whole letter.
Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
