A retail store manager résumé example, in conversion and shrinkage
One complete retail manager résumé, written out in full. The person is invented. The reading and the score come from the product itself.
— sales is the outcome. conversion is the work.

Retail management produces a weekly report full of numbers, and retail résumés tend to report only the last one. This example is written out in full so you can read a page built from the whole report, then put through the tools here so you can see what a parser takes from it. The candidate is invented. Ingeborg Talmadge-Ruiz does not exist, neither employer exists, and every figure was chosen to demonstrate a shape.

Conversion, shrinkage, turnover
Conversion from 18% to 24% after the floor plan and the shift cover were rebuilt. Shrinkage from 1.9% to 0.8% with a weekly count of 300 high-risk lines. Staff turnover from 34% to 17% over two years. Three numbers, three mechanisms, and a complete description of a store manager's job.
Store size sits above them: 28 staff and annual sales of EUR 4.6 million. Without it, a conversion figure is a percentage with nothing behind it, and an area manager cannot tell whether this candidate has run a store like theirs.
The assistant manager role shows the ladder
Sixteen staff across seven days and three shift patterns. Twelve consecutive months above plan, by an average of 6%. Twenty seasonal staff trained for two Christmas periods. Retail is a trade where seasonal delivery is the test, and a candidate who has run two peak periods has been through the hardest part of the year twice.
Consecutive months is the right phrasing for a sales record. It is checkable, it resists rounding, and it is much stronger than a claim about consistently exceeding targets.
What the reading found
The door on this page hands the document to the résumé builder as plain text, through the same import an uploaded file goes through, and the review shows each field beside the line it came from. Here the completeness pass found four readable sections, 99 words of experience evidence and ten distinct skills.
No language model is involved. The readers are deterministic functions over the lines of a section, every string they emit is checked to be a span of the document, and a field that fails that check is dropped and counted.
What the checker scored it
Ninety-seven out of 100, with one improvement remaining worth 8 points. The arithmetic is 100 × 30% + 100 × 30% + 92 × 40% = 97, explained in the article on the score. Seven action-led lines, six of them measurable, seven lines of depth, and 175 readable words against a band opening at 250.
Six measurable lines out of seven is the highest ratio in this batch, and it is what retail makes possible. The ATS checker will show you the same ratio on your own page, and a low one usually means the weekly report never made it onto the document.
What this example leaves off
No brand logos, no store photographs and no list of every system the chain used. An area manager assumes the systems and reads conversion, shrinkage and turnover, which are the three lines they are measured on themselves.
Company awards are left off too. Store of the month means different things in different chains and nothing at all outside them. A twelve-month record against plan travels between employers; an internal trophy does not.
What to change for your own
Change the format. Supermarket, concession, outlet, flagship and franchise retail all use this shape with different vocabulary and different targets. Then put in your own conversion, shrinkage, turnover, headcount and sales figures.
Keep the seasonal line if you have run a peak. The design gallery holds 37 layouts, and the customer service example, the security officer example and the waiter example show the same structure in other shift work.

- Is Ingeborg Talmadge-Ruiz a real person
- No. She is invented for this page, and so are Casavieja Home and Perrillo Fashion. The figures show a shape and describe nobody's career.
- Which retail numbers matter most
- Conversion, shrinkage and staff turnover. Sales follow from the first, margin from the second and both from the third, and an area manager reads all three before anything else.
- Is staff turnover a strange thing to claim
- It is one of the strongest lines on the page. From 34% to 17% over two years means this manager stopped rehiring the same job twice a year, which is a cost an area manager knows exactly.
- What did the checker score it
- 97 out of 100, with one improvement remaining worth 8 points. The document has 175 readable words, and the volume rule's top band opens at 250.
- Should I name the systems
- Only briefly. Retail systems change every few years and the numbers do not. Keep the skills row to what the posting asks for and let the experience lines carry results.
- Which design is this rendered in
- Launch, one of the 21 ATS-safe layouts out of 37. It gives the summary space at the top, which suits a page whose first two sentences place the candidate in a format of retail.
Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
