A waiter résumé example, with the section written down

One complete waiter résumé, written out in full. The person is invented. The reading and the score come from the product itself.

— covers, spend per head, allergens. all countable.

Restaurant service is one of the most measured jobs in any economy and one of the least measured résumés. This example is written out in full so you can read what the counted version looks like, then put through the tools here so you can see what software takes from it. The candidate is invented. Nadiya Stellenbosch-Pryce does not exist, neither venue exists, and every figure was chosen to demonstrate a shape.

A section is a number

Six tables and 24 covers a service, five shifts a week. Up to 120 covers a day across three services in the hotel. A table turnaround of twelve minutes held over three seasons. Those tell a floor manager exactly what this person can hold, and none of them requires an adjective.

Turnaround is the underrated one. In a busy room it is the difference between a full evening and a queue at the door, and a waiter who has held a figure for three seasons is describing consistency rather than a good night.

Allergens and events are the trust lines

Thirty allergen requests a week with no reported incidents over two years. That is a safety record, and in a restaurant it is the line a manager is most relieved to see. Forty private events a year for up to sixty guests is the second kind of trust: being left in charge of a room.

Training seven new staff on the till, the allergen list and the service standard is the third. A section leader is somebody the floor manager does not have to watch, and the training line is the evidence of it.

What the reading found

The door on this page hands the document to the résumé builder as plain text, through the same import an uploaded file goes through, and the review shows each field beside the line it came from. Here the completeness pass found four readable sections, 110 words of experience evidence and ten distinct skills, with three languages in their own section.

The Conxfolio import review after the door opened, showing Nadiya Stellenbosch-Pryce's example read into fields beside the rendered page, with the line saying it is an example
The real import review, opened by this page's own door. It names Nadiya Stellenbosch-Pryce as invented before anything is saved, and it shows every field beside the line it came from.

No language model is involved. Every string a reader emits is checked in code to be a span of the document it read, and a field that fails that check is dropped and counted rather than kept.

What the checker scored it

The same import review on a 390 pixel phone screen, with the example notice above the accept button
The same door on a phone. Nothing is withheld on the small screen: the notice, the reading and the accept button are all there.

Ninety-seven out of 100, with one improvement remaining worth 8 points. The arithmetic is 100 × 30% + 100 × 30% + 92 × 40% = 97, explained in the article on the score. Seven action-led lines, three of them measurable, seven lines of depth, and 193 readable words against a band opening at 250.

Covers and tables are not on the evidence rule's list of units, so several lines here that a restaurant manager reads as hard numbers are counted as achievements without measurable evidence. The percentage and the shift counts are what the rule catches. The ATS checker shows which lines it counted, so a hospitality page can carry both kinds deliberately.

What this example leaves off

No photograph, no list of personal qualities and no claim about being passionate about hospitality. A floor manager has read that sentence several hundred times and can find out whether it is true in a trial shift.

Very short seasonal placements are left off unless they fill a gap. Three summers in three different resorts is a pattern worth grouping into one line with the dates rather than presenting as three jobs that each ended after eleven weeks.

What to change for your own

Change the room. Fine dining, high-volume casual, banqueting and room service all use this shape with different rhythms. Then put in your own covers, spend figures, turnaround times and event work.

Keep the food safety certificate with its year. Keep the languages. The design gallery holds 37 layouts, and the bartender example, the head chef example and the cashier example show the same structure in neighbouring work.

Questions

Is Nadiya Stellenbosch-Pryce a real person
No. She is invented for this page, and so are Ardglass Brasserie and Dunmorrin House Hotel. The figures show a shape and describe nobody.
Can a waiter's work really be measured
All of it. Covers a service, spend per head, table turnaround, allergen requests handled, staff trained. Restaurants track every one of those and most waiting staff never put a single one on a page.
Is spend per head a fair claim
It is if the restaurant measured it and you had a section. Average spend up 14% after a wine and dessert briefing was rewritten names the mechanism, which is what makes it usable at interview.
What did the checker score it
97 out of 100, with one improvement remaining worth 8 points. The document has 193 readable words, and the volume rule's top band opens at 250.
Do languages matter in restaurant service
In a tourist city they are close to the top of the page. The example carries three, with levels, because a floor manager staffing a Saturday reads that line as cover for a whole shift.
Which design is this rendered in
Compact, one of the 37 layouts and not one of the 21 marked ATS-safe. Restaurant applications are usually handed over or emailed to a manager; a hotel group with an application portal is the case for an ATS-safe layout.

Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
