A project manager résumé example, and the evidence it puts first

One complete project manager résumé, written out in full. The person is invented. The reading and the score come from the product itself.

— a plan is not an achievement. what moved is.

The project manager example résumé drawn as a complete page in the Bridge design: name, summary, the roles with their bullet lines, education and a skills row

Delivery work is hard to write down because most of it is invisible when it goes well. This example is written out in full so you can read the lines, then run through the tools here so you can see what software finds in them. The candidate is invented. Dermot Ashgrove does not exist, Vantry Logistics and Coldharbour Systems do not exist, and every figure was chosen to demonstrate a shape.

The four numbers a delivery CV lives on

Scope, money, time and people. A project manager who names all four in the first role has answered most of a screening call before it happens. The example does it in four lines: fourteen sites across three countries, a budget of EUR 4.2 million across six vendors, two weeks inside the window, and a dependency register with thirty-eight named owners.

None of those lines describes a method. They describe a size. A hiring manager filtering forty applications is looking for someone who has carried roughly what this job carries, and size is the only part of that question a document can answer. The methods matter at interview, where they can be argued about.

Why the weakest line is the one without a percentage

"Rebuilt the status report into one page and stopped 4 hours of weekly meetings" has no percentage in it and is the line most delivery managers would recognise as real work. Where a number honestly exists, the example uses it. Where the improvement is a habit rather than a metric, the line says what stopped happening. Inventing a percentage for that line would be the one thing that makes the whole page suspect.

The coordinator role is kept because it shows the ladder, and it is kept to three lines. A reader needs less of a role the further back it sits, and eleven lines across three roles with a slope from four to three is the shape that survives a skim.

What the reading found

The door on this page hands the document above to the résumé builder as plain text, through the same import an uploaded file goes through. The review screen shows each field beside the line it came from, and where the rules are unsure they ask instead of deciding quietly. On this document the checker's own completeness pass found four readable sections, 174 words of experience evidence and eleven distinct skills.

The Conxfolio import review after the door opened, showing Dermot Ashgrove's example read into fields beside the rendered page, with the line saying it is an example
The real import review, opened by this page's own door. It names Dermot Ashgrove as invented before anything is saved, and it shows every field beside the line it came from.

No language model is involved at any point. The readers are deterministic functions with their own rules, and every string one of them emits is checked in code to be a span of the document it read. A field that fails that check is dropped and counted rather than kept, which is why the review can show you what it was unsure about.

What the checker scored it

The same import review on a 390 pixel phone screen, with the example notice above the accept button
The same door on a phone. Nothing is withheld on the small screen: the notice, the reading and the accept button are all there.

One hundred out of 100, with nothing left open. The arithmetic is 100 × 30% + 100 × 30% + 100 × 40%, and the article on the score sets out where each part comes from. Content took its full forty because eleven lines are action-led, seven carry measurable evidence, and the document has 252 readable words, which clears the volume band at 250 by two.

That margin is worth noticing. A résumé of this shape sits close to the line, and one deleted role would drop it eight points without making the candidate any weaker. The ATS checker prints the arithmetic and what each remaining fix is worth, so the decision to rewrite is yours and not a red dial's.

What to change for your own

Change the domain first. Construction, clinical systems, marketing and finance all share this shape and use different nouns, and the nouns are what a reader scans. Then put your real sizes in. If you have never run a budget, name the headcount. If you have never run a headcount, name the number of sites, releases or migrations.

Keep one certification and give it a year. Drop the methodology list. Then read the page against the guide on quantifying achievements, which is the same argument at more length. The design gallery holds 37 layouts if Bridge is not to your taste. The teacher example, the data analyst example and the nurse example carry the same structure over completely different evidence.

Questions

Is Dermot Ashgrove a real person
No. He is invented for this page, and so are Vantry Logistics and Coldharbour Systems. The figures were written to demonstrate a shape, and none of them describes anyone's career.
Why is there no methodology section
Because a list of frameworks says what you have heard of. The example carries one certification with a year and puts the methods where they were used, in the lines about scope boards, dependency registers and change requests.
What did the checker score it
100 out of 100, with nothing open. Eleven action-led lines, seven of them measurable, and 252 readable words, which is just inside the top band of the volume rule. It is a measurement of the document and not a prediction about an employer.
Should a project manager list every project
No. Three roles with the recent one weighted heaviest reads better than nine lines of client names. Put the portfolio size in a line instead, as the fourteen-site rollout does.
Does budget belong on a résumé
A figure you can defend belongs anywhere. A budget, a vendor count, a headcount and a schedule variance are all things a hiring manager will ask about in the first ten minutes, so they may as well be on the page.
Which design is this rendered in
Bridge, one of the 21 ATS-safe layouts out of 37. The door below opens the builder on the same design, and the words do not change when the paper does.

Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
