A copywriter cover letter selected by a machine that cannot judge prose
One senior copywriter cover letter, printed exactly as the builder wrote it. The copywriter and the studio are invented. The selection and the two gaps came out of the product.
— a machine cannot read your prose. give it a number instead.

A copywriter applying to a studio faces one unusual problem: the letter is both the application and the sample. Delia Ottersmark is invented, Fernlowe Studio is invented, and so are both of her employers. The letter is real output: the evidence below was handed to the cover letter builder and the reply is printed word for word.
The brief, and the evidence the letter may use
An invented person. Not a real document, and not yours.

The posting
Fernlowe Studio is hiring a senior copywriter for its retained clients. The role covers brand voice, landing pages, email marketing and content marketing, working to SEO briefs and running A/B testing with the growth team. Conversion rate optimisation experience is welcome.
What the letter may claim
- Wrote 140 landing pages and lifted conversion on 31 of them by 12% or more.
- Ran A/B testing on 48 email marketing subject lines across two years.
- Built the brand voice guide that 3 client teams now write to without the agency.
- Led content marketing for a retained client from 4 to 26 articles a quarter.
- Reduced legal review rounds on regulated copy from 3 to 1 by rewriting the brief template.

The letter the builder wrote
Direct voice, the one the door opens with. Three of the eight paragraphs are Delia's own sentences.
Dear Fernlowe Studio Hiring Team,
I'm applying for the Senior Copywriter role at Fernlowe Studio.
Ran A/B testing on 48 email marketing subject lines across two years.
Led content marketing for a retained client from 4 to 26 articles a quarter.
Built the brand voice guide that 3 client teams now write to without the agency.
The posting asks for A/B Testing, Email Marketing and Content Marketing — all of which I've worked with directly.
I'd welcome the chance to talk through any of this.
Delia Ottersmark
Where each paragraph came from
Lines 6, 8 and 7 of the evidence list. The testing line matched two named requirements at once and led. The content marketing line matched a third. The brand voice line went in on its figures. Five requirements were recognised in the advertisement and the letter claimed three by name.
The first line of the evidence, about 140 landing pages and conversion lifted on 31 of them, is the strongest thing she has and it was never considered. It begins with the word wrote, and the engine's filter only looks at lines carrying one of the past-tense achievement verbs it holds. Rewrote is on that list; wrote is not. The same sentence starting with Produced or Delivered would have led the letter.
What it refused to claim
Two gaps: SEO and conversion rate optimisation. Both are named in the posting and neither phrase appears in Delia's lines, even though the landing page work is plainly about conversion and the content programme is plainly search-led. The engine reads what is written. That is the trade you are making, and the fix is a true line rather than an argument. Reading your own gaps list turns both of these into sentences she should have written.
No language model is involved at any point, which for this trade is the useful part: nothing here rewrote her prose, and the letter carries her sentences rather than a machine's impression of them.
What a copywriter's letter has to prove
That the writing did something. A machine cannot judge whether a sentence is good, and neither can a creative director in the four seconds they give an application. Both can read a number: conversion lifted on thirty-one pages, forty-eight subject lines tested, legal review rounds down from three to one.
The brand voice line is the one that closes a senior job. A guide three client teams now write to without the agency is a writer whose thinking outlives their contract. Writing the line you are avoiding covers the rest of it.
The same evidence in the other two voices
Three voices ship with the builder, and changing one rewrites the connectors rather than the evidence. The ranking never sees the voice, so the same lines are selected in the same order in all three. Run on this page's own evidence, the warm voice opens "I'd like to be considered for the Senior Copywriter role at Fernlowe Studio." and closes "I'd be glad to walk through any of this with you." The formal voice opens "I am writing to apply for the position of Senior Copywriter at Fernlowe Studio." and closes "I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application further." The middle connector changes with it: warm writes "You mention A/B Testing, Email Marketing and Content Marketing; those have been the centre of my recent work." and formal writes "The role calls for A/B Testing, Email Marketing and Content Marketing, each of which I have applied in practice." In the product, switching voice keeps the draft you already have as a version before it writes the new one, so nothing is lost by trying the other two.
The design, and what the door does
Signature leads with the closing, which reads well when the strongest sentence sits late. The paper changes and the words do not, across all 12 designs in the gallery.
The door below opens 02 · Details with the role, the studio, the posting and the four evidence groups loaded and removable. Nothing is composed until you press Write the letter. Put your own pages and tests in, paste the real brief, and the same ranking runs on your lines. The matching copywriter résumé example holds the document those lines come from.

Use this exampleSee the letter designsQuestions
- Is Delia Ottersmark a real person
- No. She is invented for this page, and so are Fernlowe Studio, Harkaway & Vole and Thrushmoor Digital. No real client is described and no hire is claimed.
- Did the product really write this letter
- Yes. The evidence list was posted to the same endpoint the Write the letter button posts to, and the reply is printed above unchanged. The engine reported three selected paragraphs, three matched requirements and two gaps.
- Why is the landing page line missing
- Because it begins with the word wrote, and the evidence filter only considers lines carrying one of the past-tense achievement verbs it holds. Wrote is not among them. It is the same reason the same sentence pattern vanishes on the journalist example, and the fix is the verb rather than the content.
- Why is SEO a gap when the work is obviously search-led
- The posting names SEO briefs and none of the evidence lines uses the term. Content marketing and landing pages are adjacent and the engine will not promote adjacent work into a claim. One true line about writing to search briefs closes it.
- What does “Use this example” do
- It opens the cover letter builder on 02 · Details with the role, the studio, the posting and the four evidence groups already loaded. No letter and no application record exists until you press Write the letter.
- Which design is this example in
- Signature, a closing-led composition. Any of the 12 designs carries the same words.
Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
