A copywriter résumé example, measured by what the words did
One complete copywriter résumé, written out in full. The person is invented. The reading and the score come from the product itself.
— a portfolio shows the writing. the page shows the effect.

Copywriters are hired on a portfolio and shortlisted on a page, and the page is usually written as though nobody would measure it. This example is written out in full so you can read a measured one, then put through the tools here so you can see what a parser stores. The candidate is invented. Percival Adebayo-Lindstrom does not exist, neither employer exists, and every figure was chosen to demonstrate a shape.

What the words did
Sign-up rate on the main landing page from 3.1% to 4.6%. Onboarding completion from 41% to 58% after a fourteen-email series was rewritten. Support contacts about delivery down 24% after nine policy pages were rewritten. Each of those is a piece of writing with a consequence attached.
The test line is the honest one: twenty-two copy tests run, seven of which beat the control. A writer who claims every test won is claiming something no growth team has ever seen, and the ratio is what makes the other numbers believable.
Volume and adoption
Forty landing pages a year, 120 product pages, sixty campaign emails. Volume matters for a copywriter because most of the job is production, and a hiring manager needs to know whether you can keep up with a content calendar as well as write a good headline.
The tone of voice guide used by three teams and nine writers is the seniority line. It says the candidate has turned their own judgement into something other people can follow, which is the step from copywriter to lead.
What the reading found
The door below hands the document to the résumé builder as plain text, through the same import an uploaded file goes through, and the review shows each field beside the line it came from. Here the completeness pass found four readable sections, 103 words of experience evidence and ten distinct skills, with the portfolio address kept in the contact row.
No language model is involved, here or anywhere in this product. Every string a reader emits is checked in code to be a span of the document it read, so nothing on the page is rewritten for you.
What the checker scored it
Ninety-seven out of 100, with one improvement remaining worth 8 points. The arithmetic is 100 × 30% + 100 × 30% + 92 × 40% = 97, explained in the article on the score. Seven action-led lines, six of them measurable, seven lines of depth, and 179 readable words against a band opening at 250.
Six measurable lines out of seven is the highest ratio a writing job usually manages, and it comes from working next to a growth team that measured things. If your own work was never tested, count the volume instead and say so plainly. The ATS checker shows which lines it counted either way.
What this example leaves off
No sample copy, no campaign taglines and no client logos. A page of headlines is a portfolio page, it competes with the results for attention, and the portfolio address in the contact row already solves the problem.
Word counts written are left off as well. Output measured in words says nothing about whether any of it worked, and a writer who leads with volume is usually a writer whose work was never measured.
What to change for your own
Change the medium. Brand campaigns, technical writing, direct mail, scripts and social copy all use this shape with different measures. Then put in your own rates, volumes, tests and adoption.
Keep the portfolio address plain. Keep the test ratio honest. The guide on linking a portfolio covers the placement, the design gallery holds 37 layouts, and the content strategist example, the reporter example and the paralegal example sit beside this one.

- Is Percival Adebayo-Lindstrom a real copywriter
- No. He is invented for this page, and so are Vastberga Studio and Halvbergen Retail Group. The figures show a shape and describe nobody.
- Should a copywriter's résumé be clever
- It should be clear. A hiring manager is checking whether you can write plainly under a constraint, and a page full of jokes answers a question nobody asked. The portfolio is where the range goes.
- Are conversion figures fair for a writer
- Where the copy was the change being tested, yes. Sign-up rate from 3.1% to 4.6% on a page you rewrote is a claim a growth team measured, and it is the strongest evidence a copywriter has.
- What did the checker score it
- 97 out of 100, with one improvement remaining worth 8 points. The document has 179 readable words, and the volume rule's top band opens at 250.
- Is a tone of voice guide worth a line
- If other people use it. Three teams and nine writers using a guide you built is adoption, and adoption is the difference between a document and a standard.
- Which design is this rendered in
- Deckle, one of the 37 layouts and not one of the 21 marked ATS-safe. For an agency or in-house team reading the page directly it is a fair choice; for a portal, pick an ATS-safe layout.
Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
