Six places the evidence already exists, before you invent any

A thin content score rarely means a thin career. It usually means the evidence is in your inbox rather than on the page.

— go and look before you write from memory.

The content dimension is 40% of the score and it grades evidence. This is the row that six ordinary sources move.

A low content score almost never means a thin career. It means the evidence is somewhere other than the page, and the six places below are where it usually is.

What the rules are actually looking for

A Conxfolio ATS report on a well-evidenced document
The content dimension: action-led lines up to 30, measurable evidence up to 25, depth up to 25, volume up to 20.

Achievement lines inside a role, beginning with what you did, carrying a figure where one exists, across more than one job. Two or more measurable lines earn the full 25; five or more evidenced lines across roles earn the full 25 for depth. Those are the rows to fill, and the checker names each one.

One: your own handover notes

Written when you left a role, while the detail was fresh, and usually full of numbers because handovers are practical documents. This is the single richest source most people have and forget.

Two: your last performance review

Somebody else wrote down what you did, in their words, with the figures their process required. Your own objectives from the same cycle are a second list of the same material.

Three: tickets, rotas and invoices

The system of record for your work, whatever it was. Counts of cases, shifts, classes, sites, orders or releases live there, and our measurable-evidence rule now recognises that whole family of units, not only percentages and currency.

Four: the thing that changed after you

A process still in use, a template somebody still fills in, a check that happens because you introduced it. That is a durable result and it is usually invisible to the person who caused it. The runbook line is about exactly this shape.

Five: what people ask you

The questions colleagues bring you are a map of what you are trusted with, and trust is scope. If three people a week ask you about the same system, you own that system in practice whatever the title said.

Six: the problems nobody else would take

The arithmetic line reading 100 times 30 per cent plus 100 times 30 per cent plus 92 times 40 per cent equals 97
A document whose evidence is on the page. The content dimension at 92, with three of its four rules at full marks.

The migration, the audit, the winter of escalation, the client nobody wanted. These are remembered as unpleasant rather than as achievements, which is why they are missing from the page rather than from the career.

Writing what you find

One line each, starting with what you did, with the figure where you have one. Put it under the role in the résumé builder rather than in a general summary, because the rules grade lines inside roles. How to write experience bullets is the shape and quantifying achievements is the number.

The hour, and how to spend it

Set a timer, open the sources rather than thinking about them, and write a list without editing. Handover notes, the last review, the ticket queue or rota, and anything you wrote that other people still use. Twenty items is a normal harvest for one role and most of them will be unusable, which is fine, because the six that are usable were not in your head at the start. Only then choose which go on the document. Editing while remembering is the failure mode, and it is why people conclude after ten minutes that there is nothing to find.

What this page does not claim

That everybody has five strong achievements. Some roles genuinely do not produce measurable outcomes, and the honest answer there is a line about scope rather than an invented figure, which is when there is no number. What is claimed is that most thin documents are thin because nobody went and looked, and looking takes an hour.

A note on how to run that hour, because doing it from memory produces the same four vague lines every time. Open the sources rather than thinking about them. Handover notes, the review, the ticket queue, the rota. Write down everything you find in a plain list without editing, and only then choose which six lines go on the document. Editing while remembering is what makes people conclude they have nothing, and they almost always do.

One last note on what to do with the material you do not use. Keep the list. It is the raw material for a letter's evidence paragraphs, for a portfolio entry, and for the interview answer about a time when something went wrong. Most of it will be more useful six months from now than it is today, and reconstructing it a second time is the same hour again. A plain file of everything you found, dated, costs nothing to keep.

Questions

Why is my content score low when my work was real
Because the rules grade achievement lines inside a role. Work described as responsibilities, or filed under a projects heading, scores nothing.
Where should I look first
Your own handover notes and your last performance review. Both were written when the details were fresh and both are full of numbers.
What if I no longer have access
Ask a former colleague. Most people will confirm a figure they also lived through, and a confirmed number is a defensible one.
How many evidenced lines do I need
Five or more across roles earns the full 25 points for evidence depth; three or four earns 18; one or two earns 10.
How many need a number
Two or more lines carrying measurable evidence earn the full 25 points; one earns 12.

Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
