A product manager résumé example, and what it stopped doing

One complete product manager résumé, written out in full. The person is invented. The reading and the score come from the product itself.

— shipped is not a result. moved is.

The product manager example résumé drawn as a complete page in the Architect design: name, summary, the roles with their bullet lines, education and a skills row
The example below, drawn by the builder's own renderer in the Architect design. The picture was taken by pressing this page's own Use this example door and photographing what the editor rendered.

Product résumés drift towards lists of things that were launched, which tells a reader what the roadmap contained and nothing about the person. This example is written out in full so you can read the alternative, then put through the tools here so you can see what a parser and a scorer take from it. The candidate is invented. Saoirse Whitlock-Bramah does not exist, neither employer exists, and every figure was chosen to demonstrate a shape.

Summary
Product manager with nine years on payments and marketplace products. Works on what to stop doing, and on the measurement that decides it.

Experience

Senior Product Manager · Halcyon Ledger, Dublin · 2021 to present

  • Owned the merchant onboarding product for 14 000 sellers and a team of 7 engineers.
  • Cut time from signup to first payout from 9 days to 2, raising activation from 46% to 71%.
  • Ran 22 experiments in 2 years and shipped the 8 that moved a metric.
  • Retired 3 features used by under 1% of merchants and reclaimed a quarter of the roadmap.

Product Manager · Mirabel Markets, Galway · 2018 to 2021

  • Launched a seller ratings product to 90 000 listings with a 4-week pilot before full release.
  • Reduced support contacts about delivery by 38% by rewriting 12 status messages.
  • Wrote the first written definition of an active seller, used by finance and product since.
  • Ran the pricing change across 3 seller tiers and held churn flat while revenue per seller rose 14%.

Business Analyst · Mirabel Markets, Galway · 2016 to 2018

  • Mapped 40 checkout requirements across 3 teams into one prioritised backlog.
  • Built the reporting that showed 22% of orders failed on one payment method.
  • Interviewed 18 merchants and wrote the requirements the checkout rebuild was scoped from.

Every line names a movement

Activation from 46% to 71%. Time from signup to first payout from nine days to two. Support contacts about delivery down 38% after twelve status messages were rewritten. Revenue per seller up 14% with churn flat. Each of those is a before and an after, and each of them can be argued about at interview, which is exactly what a good line is for.

The experiment line is a different kind of evidence: twenty-two experiments in two years, eight of which moved a metric. The ratio is the point. A candidate who reports eight wins out of eight is describing a process nobody believes.

Ownership belongs beside the outcome

Fourteen thousand sellers and a team of seven engineers, in the first line. Scope tells a hiring manager whether this candidate has carried what the job carries, and it takes six words. Everything after it is easier to read once the size is known.

The analyst role is kept at two lines because it shows where the measurement habit came from, and one of those lines is the reporting that found 22% of orders failing on a single payment method. That is a business analyst's finding and a product manager's instinct, which is what makes it worth the space.

What the reading found

The door on this page hands the document above to the résumé builder as plain text, through the same import an uploaded file goes through, and the review shows every field beside the line it came from. Here the completeness pass found four readable sections, 186 words of experience evidence and ten distinct skills.

The Conxfolio import review after the door opened, showing Saoirse Whitlock-Bramah's example read into fields beside the rendered page, with the line saying it is an example
The real import review, opened by this page's own door. It names Saoirse Whitlock-Bramah as invented before anything is saved, and it shows every field beside the line it came from.

No language model is used at any point. The readers are deterministic functions over the lines of a section, every string they emit is checked in code to be a span of the document, and a field that fails that check is dropped and counted.

What the checker scored it

The same import review on a 390 pixel phone screen, with the example notice above the accept button
The same door on a phone. Nothing is withheld on the small screen: the notice, the reading and the accept button are all there.

One hundred out of 100, with nothing remaining. The arithmetic is 100 × 30% + 100 × 30% + 100 × 40%, explained in the article on the score. Eleven action-led lines, nine of them measurable, eleven lines of depth and 254 readable words against a band opening at 250.

Nine measurable lines out of eleven is unusually high and it is what product work makes possible. If your own page cannot reach that ratio, the ATS checker will show you which lines it counted, and the missing ones are usually the ones where a launch was reported instead of a result.

What this example leaves off

No framework list, no certification badges and no list of tools. A head of product can tell within two lines whether somebody has run a product, and a page of methodology names is usually what fills the space where the results should be.

Roadmap screenshots and feature inventories are left off as well. A feature list describes what a company built; the movement lines describe what this person did about it. One of those is a portfolio and the other is a résumé.

What to change for your own

Change the surface. Platform, growth, internal tools and hardware product work all use this shape with different nouns, and the metric vocabulary changes with them. Then convert every launch line into a movement line, or delete it.

Keep one line about something you stopped. Keep the team size. The guide on quantifying achievements covers the substitutions for figures you may not publish, and the design gallery holds 37 layouts. The UX designer example, the data engineer example and the marketing manager example sit next to this one.

Questions

Is Saoirse Whitlock-Bramah a real person
No. She is invented for this page, and so are Halcyon Ledger and Mirabel Markets. The figures show a shape and describe nobody's career.
Should a product manager list features shipped
Only where a feature moved something. A list of releases is a diary. The example names four outcomes and one deliberate removal, which is a harder thing to do and a better signal.
Is the retired-features line risky
It is the strongest line on the page. Retiring three features used by under one per cent of merchants is a decision with a cost, and a hiring manager reads it as somebody who can say no with evidence.
What did the checker score it
100 out of 100, with nothing open. Eleven action-led lines, nine with measurable evidence, eleven lines of depth and 254 readable words, which clears the volume band at 250.
Do I need a metrics glossary on the page
No, but one line about defining a metric is worth having. Writing the first definition of an active seller is the sort of quiet work that decides what a company argues about for years.
Which design is this rendered in
Architect, one of the 21 ATS-safe layouts out of 37. It carries a dense page of outcomes in one column with clear role blocks.

Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
