An office manager résumé example, and the budget behind the desk

One complete office manager résumé, written out in full. The person is invented. The reading and the score come from the product itself.

— headcount supported, budget held, contracts retendered.

Office manager is a job title that covers four different jobs, and a résumé for it has to say which one. This example is written out in full so you can read a page that does, then put through the tools here so you can see what a parser stores. The candidate is invented. Rosalind Achterberg-Nwosu does not exist, neither employer exists, and every figure was chosen to demonstrate a shape.

Headcount and budget say which job this was

A two-floor office for 120 staff with a facilities budget of EUR 340 000. That single line separates an office manager who orders the milk from one who runs a building, and it is the line most applications for this role leave out entirely.

The second role gives the earlier scale: 45 staff across reception, travel and expenses. The ladder from coordinating 45 people's admin to running a 120-person office with a budget is visible without a sentence of explanation.

The commercial lines are the surprising ones

Supplier spend down 21% after nine contracts were retendered. Expense query volume down 30%. Those are procurement and process results, and they are what turns an office manager into a candidate for a business operations role.

Onboarding sixty-five people a year, desk to induction, is the people line. Three office moves with no lost working days is the project line. Between them the page covers facilities, procurement, people and projects, which is what the job actually is.

What the reading found

The door on this page hands the document to the résumé builder as plain text, through the same import an uploaded file goes through, and the review shows each field beside the line it came from. Here the completeness pass found four readable sections, 101 words of experience evidence and ten distinct skills.

The Conxfolio import review after the door opened, showing Rosalind Achterberg-Nwosu's example read into fields beside the rendered page, with the line saying it is an example
The real import review, opened by this page's own door. It names Rosalind Achterberg-Nwosu as invented before anything is saved, and it shows every field beside the line it came from.

No language model is involved. The readers are deterministic functions with their own rules, and a string that cannot be found in the source is dropped and counted rather than kept.

What the checker scored it

The same import review on a 390 pixel phone screen, with the example notice above the accept button
The same door on a phone. Nothing is withheld on the small screen: the notice, the reading and the accept button are all there.

Ninety-seven out of 100, with one improvement remaining worth 8 points. The arithmetic is 100 × 30% + 100 × 30% + 92 × 40% = 97, explained in the article on the score. Seven action-led lines, six of them measurable, seven lines of depth, and 179 readable words against a band opening at 250.

Six measurable lines from seven is a high ratio, and it comes from treating the job as a business function rather than as assistance. The ATS checker will show you the same ratio on your own page.

What this example leaves off

No photograph, no list of personal qualities and no description of the office culture. A hiring manager is reading for headcount, budget and what was retendered, and the rest is inferred from how the application itself is organised.

Software lists are left off too. Every office manager can use a calendar and a spreadsheet, and naming ten products where two would do is the fastest way to look like a page written to fill space.

What to change for your own

Change the setting. A studio, a clinic, a school office, a factory administration team and a serviced building all use this shape with different suppliers. Then put in your own headcount, budget, contracts, onboarding volume and moves.

Keep the health and safety qualification with its year. The guide on experience bullets covers the construction, the design gallery holds 37 layouts, and the executive assistant example, the receptionist example and the recruiter example sit beside this one.

Questions

Is Rosalind Achterberg-Nwosu a real person
No. She is invented for this page, and so are Harroway Consulting and Belturbet Financial. The figures show a shape and describe nobody.
What makes an office manager's page convincing
Headcount and budget. A hundred and twenty staff and a facilities budget of EUR 340 000 turns a job title that means five different things into one a reader can size.
Is supplier retendering worth a line
It is the strongest line here. Twenty-one per cent off supplier spend across nine contracts is a commercial result from a role that is usually described as supportive.
What did the checker score it
97 out of 100, with one improvement remaining worth 8 points. The document has 179 readable words, and the volume rule's top band opens at 250.
Should office moves be mentioned
Three moves with no lost working days is a project management claim in eight words, and office moves are the thing every office manager is judged on afterwards.
Which design is this rendered in
Placard, one of the 21 ATS-safe layouts out of 37. Its strong role headings help a page where the two job titles do different jobs.

Conxfolio is a free set of four career tools: a résumé builder with 37 rendered layouts, an ATS résumé checker that prints its own arithmetic, a cover letter builder that traces every proof paragraph back to the line it came from, and a portfolio builder with 20 authored designs. There is no account to create, nothing is held back for a paid plan, and no language model is used anywhere in the product, so the readers, the score and the letter are deterministic code you can check.
